July 4, 2009 - Makiah, this is some of the family at our annual trip to Wisconsin dells. We let balloons go for you. Your cousins put on a special show for you. We talked about you all that weekend. We couldn't stop laughing about the time when you were in Wisconsin Dells with us and you would not stay away from those dangerous stairs. No matter how hard I tried to keep you away, you always found a way to get back to those stairs.

Makiah, Jayla misses you. Even though she was just a little baby when you passed, she knows who you are. Every time she sees one of your pictures around the house she says "mommy, mommy sister" then she kisses the picture and says "miss you" She knows that you're her big sister. She loves Dora the Explorer just like you did. Everyone says she looks and walks just like you. She is 2 1/2 now. She is still in love with that pacifier & will not give it up for nothing. All I have to say is that the pacifier days are very limited.
